Memory Traces
Memory Traces is an intimate visual journey into my acquired family’s roots, tracing a narrative that links Northern Italy to the Middle East. Spanning from Lignano to Beirut and Tehran in the 1950s, the story follows a Venetian musician and a Lombard woman whose encounter shaped a life across borders, before returning to Italy during the Iranian revolution.
The family home in Nova Milanese stands as a chest of memories where Catholic symbols coexist with Persian tapestries and Khalil Gibran’s poetry. Through intimate details and personal archives, Memory Traces celebrates a resilient love story and the construction of a "home" that transcends single geographical boundaries.
